August First-Year Student Orientation

Incoming first-year studentsÌýare required to attend orientation in its entirety, beginning with Opening Day on Saturday, August 17.

First-Year Mentors serve as tremendous sources of support to students.

Each First-Year Seminar has an upper-class student leader - called a Mentor - who works with the students in the seminar outside of the classroom. Mentors promote the intellectual, social and personal development of first-year students during their entire first year at ¹û¶³´«Ã½.
